“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Interesting, I’m 74 unhappy and not able to share with people as I barely make $14000.00 a yr I feel useless and after all the yrs I’ve worked I feel empty. I just finally opened your devotion today and it was nice, with fear of death and lack of offering or unable to help with all who give word I’m empty. Pray for me I’ll have to owe you.
Hello Beverly
You are not useless! Everyone is use full to God AND to the people we see every day. A smile, a greeting of good morning or a complement on an article of clothing can make someone’s day.
I have wealthy friends -big houses, new cars, etc. I would not change places with them. They are not happy, complain about everything, and their wealth has not prevented them from suffering serious health problems.
Knowing God loves us, and that this life is not the end of our story gives me a feeling of peace and gratitude. I pray you will feel that same peace.
I’m not sure what to say but loneliness is hard, e specially when you get old.

I did
I am not worthy, even to be compared to the dirt on HIS sandals. But, I do trust that the promise HE gave to us in the Biblical text is so true and HE is praised from my family. And I worship HIM and thank HIM for every breath. “But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”
